A letter to Inhumane Newman

[Note that I do not call him "President"..I never do.]

Subject Line: Your views on Casey Sheehan

To Inhumane Newman:

I cannot believe what I am reading. How dare you suggest that just because Casey Sheehan doesn't agree with George W. regarding the war in Iraq that she regards Iraqi citizens to be "filthy ragheads", "camel jockeys" and "bloodthirsty henchmen"! Where has she ever stated such, or come even CLOSE to using such hateful language? Those are YOUR words, not hers, and to insinuate that they are Casey's words is the worst form of journalism. You need to go back to school and get a better grasp on what you do for a living. You may as well be writing a fictional short story...not a fact based article. Stop being part of the problem. If you are writing about someones view on something, use their words and not your own.

Unless, of course, you are not interested in the proliferation of truth. Perhaps all you are interested in is muckraking. How do you sleep at night with the knowledge that you have the power to reach millions of Americans, and all you are doing with that opportunity is wallowing in the mud with the other pigs? I shudder at the thought of even one American looking to you for truth regarding the war or anything else surrounding American actions today.

I find it ironic that you talk about the horrors of Iraqi torture chambers, when we have tortured and raped prisoners in American prisons! How is that any better?

I suggest that you actually do some fact finding so you can realize that when you say things like "She didn’t protest when the maniacs of 9-11 killed nearly 3,000 people" while talking about a woman who lost her son in the Iraq war, you lose all credibility because:

Afghanistan does not equal Iraq!

..do you even remember who crashed the planes into the WTC? I'll give you one guess, and here's a hint: It's not Iraq.

Take responsibility, do your homework or do us all a favor and get off the air & out of print,

I'm sorry, I admit I was using the cut & paste function to insert Casey Sheehan's name when I should have been inserting his mother name. I just typed the wrong name, but I understood you were talking about Casey's mother and not him. I understood that while following the case, AND while reading your article. Obviously Casy Sheehan did not share his mothers anti Iraq war sentiments...otherwise he would not have enlisted. If you re-read my letter, I think it is glaringly obvious I understand the issue at hand, I just inserted the wrong name in my letter to you . (I use cut & paste because I am not the best at spelling, usually it works to my advantage.) I pose to you this question: Which is worse - pasting the wrong name into an email, or pasting fake words onto someones reputation??

STILL: Where has Mrs. Sheehan EVER stated those were her beliefs? They are STILL your words, and NOT hers.

As for reading the article again, I'm sorry, I can't read anything so blatantly vile and hateful and full of non-truths twice.

As for my wartime records: I will not kill another human. Period. If by "sacrificing for others" you mean killing them, I will in the words of Mrs. Reagan Just Say No. An eye for an eye and the whole world is blind.

You hope that I can say I was nearly killed? Thanks. Really. I appreciate it. I will go play in traffic, because that is about as effective as enlisting in any armed forces these days as far as getting killed OR stoping future terror attacks. Please desist in telling people to "stop being so hateful" when you obviously need to do so yourself.
